Regeneration Temple is a thriving church located in North Raleigh, that is motivated to demonstrate love and compassion towards all people. We are assigned to disciple believers to go and become witnesses throughout the earth. The name Regeneration Temple, stems from Titus 3:5, "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost", KJV. It is our belief, that all the efforts of man are vanity unless he is regenerated through Jesus Christ.
We are a church that believes the structure of the family must be protected and nurtured thru the teachings of God’s holy word. Our belief and our actions will stem from the instructions given to us from the word of God, and our love will come from the agape and redeeming love of Jesus Christ. Our mission is to connect, empower and serve. We desire to connect with people by demonstrating the love of God, empower people thru the truth of God and serve in our church, in our community and our families for the glory of God.
At Regeneration Temple you are welcome to come as you are, but we believe that you will leave better than you came. We accept all individuals from every culture and background to come and hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our prayer is that our ministry will elevate your mind and compel you to seek first the Kingdom of God.

THE WASHINGTON FAMILY
Pastor Charles J. Washington, Jr. was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida, he received Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1999 on the campus of Bethune Cookman College as a college athlete. He later transferred to complete his athletic and academic career at the University of North Alabama where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Adinistration. He also has a Masters in Biblical Studies from the North Carolina College of Theology and has taken several courses at Liberty University in pursuit of a second Master’s degree. In 2007, he married the beautiful Julia Rainey, a graduate from Meredith College with a Bachelors in Exercise and Sports Science.
Pastor Washington is known for his powerful, passionate preaching and his genuine concern for a better community. Pastor Washington is the author of the book entitled, 'God is Bigger than a Game'. This book has been written to minister to our posterity and inform our youth of the importance of having the right foundation at the base of their pursuits to achieve true success. Pastor Washington's aim is to continue to build strong families and strong communities by continuing to teach the Gospel and demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ.
Pastor and First Lady Washington have two wonderful kids, Nathan and Taylor. Pastor Washington accepted his call to the ministry in 2007 and served as a youth minister for several years. During his tenure as a youth minister, he spoke at several youth camps, seminars, and youth conferences. He was ordained in 2012 as an Elder in the Church of God in Christ and served on several different auxiliaries including: Jurisdictional Young Men of Valor President, Evangelism Ministry, Prison Ministry, Youth Ministry, Elders Council, Armor Bearer Ministry, and Youth Conference Coordinator.
Pastor Washington experienced the undeniable call of God to lead God's people while serving at the Upper Room Church of God in Christ. The call became unshakeable after years of service at the Wake County Correctional facilities and the Raleigh Rescue Mission, where he taught bible study and motivated men “to not be buried in their circumstance, but to build from it”. In 2015, he has made it his mission to serve every person he can with a message of hope in Jesus Christ.
